ENL (English as a New Language)

faces saying hello

The English as a New Language (ENL) program at Dows Lane is designed to teach English Language Learners (ELLs) social and academic language skills as well as aspects of the English language necessary to succeed in their core content classes. The instruction focuses on listening, speaking, reading, and writing at appropriate developmental and proficiency levels with supplemental use of the home language as needed. All instruction is aligned to the Next Generation Learning Standards and grade level curricula.
